In the spring of 2016, while living in Memphis, I found myself in need of a project to distract myself from some terrible things that were happening in my life and in my mind. I began obsessively taking audio of some of my favorite poems (read by the authors) and placing them over some of my favorite instrumental pieces and instrumental portions of songs. This collection of tracks—which I've dubbed a "poetry mixtape"—is the end result.

I claim no ownership over any of the music or words contained in these tracks. I've done my best to indicate the artists/writers responsible for the bulk of the work in this project and have no intention of financially profiting from it, so I sincerely hope no one sees fit to request that these tracks be taken down.

It is my hope that you find something to like in this project—and that you discover some new poems or music while listening.
